Ingredients
- 15 g smooth peanut butter
- 1 tbsp (20 g) maple syrup
- 34 g whey protein powder
- 15 g semisweet chocolate chips
Equipment
- Kitchen scale
- Measuring spoons
- Small bowl
- Spoon
Method
Make the sweet base
Weigh the peanut butter into a small bowl and pour the maple syrup over it. Stir until smooth and glossy.
Work in the protein powder
Add the protein powder and stir until no dry powder is left. The mixture should hold together as a thick dough. Add milk or water a teaspoon at a time if it stays crumbly.
Fold in the chocolate
Stir the chocolate chips through the dough and serve it right away, while it is still soft enough to scoop.

Cookie dough at a glance
This makes one 84 g portion in five minutes with no baking. It provides 344 calories, 28.6 g protein, 30.9 g carbohydrates, 12.6 g fat, and 2.3 g fiber, calculated from the listed ingredient quantities.
There is no flour or egg in it, so there is nothing here that needs to be cooked.
Getting the texture right
Protein powders absorb liquid at different rates, so the same 34 g can give you a scoopable dough or a stiff paste. If it turns crumbly, stir in milk or water a teaspoon at a time until it comes together. If it is too loose, add another few grams of protein powder.
Swapping the maple syrup for a sugar-free syrup drops the carbohydrates by roughly 13 g and the calories by about 50, at the cost of some of the caramel flavor. Almond butter works in place of peanut butter with a similar calorie count.
Serving and storage
Eat it straight from the bowl while it still scoops easily. Refrigerate leftovers within two hours and use them within three to four days. Cold dough sets firm, so leave it out for a few minutes before eating.
Storage
Refrigerate leftovers in a covered container within two hours and use them within three to four days. The dough firms up when cold, so let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before eating.
